Sweet potatoes are exceptionally nutrient dense and contain both potassium and phosphorus. Sweet potato contains around 855mg of potassium and less than 50mg of phosphorus per 100g. So while it does contain phosphorus, it is a much better source of potassium.
In 100g of sweet potato, we find 54g of phosphorus and 475mg of potassium. These are reasonable amounts, but we cannot say that sweet potatoes are a good source of these minerals.
Sweet potatoes contain high levels of both potassium and phosphorus (potassium 230 mg and phosphorus 32 mg in 100 grams), so you must avoid it if you have kidney disease.
