BRITS BAFFLED AS AMERICAN HAS VERY UNUSUAL ITEM WITH HIS FIRST FRY-UP

  • Kalani Smith from the US was not a fan of the 'consistency' of black pudding
  • He also believed American bacon was still better than its UK counterpart

Brits have been left disgusted after an American trying his first-ever full English breakfast had one very strange item on his plate.

Kalani Smith, who goes by @kalanighosthunter on TikTok, boasts nearly three million followers and has been trying some of Britain's finest cuisines - from Tesco meal deals to pie and mash.

In a clip with over 200,000 views, the American reviewed his first-ever fry-up drowning it in a sea of brown sauce.

However, it was not the copious amounts of brown sauce that left viewers disgruntled - it was the presence of onion rings that pushed Brits over the edge.

Venturing into the Blues Cafe in Swindon, Kalani was keen to get his hands on a 'yummy' breakfast.

Tucking into his plate crammed with toast, mushrooms, onions, sausages, tomatoes, beans - and even two types of eggs - the ghost hunter decided to try out the black pudding.

'Not my absolute favourite by any means.

'It's not bad but I feel like it's just not my favourite,' he said as he took a bite out of the slab of meat.

Noting how he enjoyed the flavour of the item, Kalani shared that he wasn't a 'big fan' of the black pudding's consistency.

Slathering the plate in another serving of brown sauce, the American gave the sausages as well as the beans on toast a try.

'Something else that I have learned is that we need to scoop these puppies [baked beans] on here,' he said.

'I did not know how I was going to like beans on toast but this is delicious. The flavour pairing is really good on that I really enjoy that.'

Although bacon on this side of the pond didn't quite beat its crispy-thin American counterpart in Kalani's eyes he still enjoyed the flavour.

'Dipping it in the egg yolk, that might be a crime over here but man I love it,' he said whilst combining the foods.

'I don't know if it is a sin over here but I love combining different things on the plate.'

Remarking how much he enjoyed the traditional British fry-up, Kalani added: 'It's very homey.

'It's a comfort meal I would say and I can see why you guys love this meal has tons of good flavour.'

Although the content creator thought many would be disgruntled by his take on the bacon - Brits were in fact blown away by the presence of onion rings on his plate.

One exclaimed: 'Looks fine apart from onion rings?'

'Onion rings on a full English - where’s the hash browns?' a second chimed.

A third questioned: 'Why are there onion rings on a breakfast?'

'Bin off the onion rings and add hash browns instead,' wrote another.

Some Britons in the comment section were keen to give the American some tips on the best way to tackle a full English breakfast.

'You're supposed to dip the black pudding into the beans and eggs,' wrote another.

'Bacon into toast and then dip into yolk- also hash browns soaking up beans is a must,' a viewer quipped.
