GREGGS REVEALS NEW SUMMER MENU INCLUDING RETURN OF POPULAR ITEM

Greggs has unveiled its 2024 summer menu, and it includes the return of a fan-favourite, alongside a plethora of new iced drinks.

The Vegan Mexican Chicken Free-Bake Greggs is back, and the British high street retailer is also introducing two brand new flatbreads.

The new range includes summer inspired iced drinks, including the Mango & Strawberry Cooler and a Strawberries & Cream Refresher.

The two brand-new drinks will join the existing menu of iced options, which include the Strawberry Lemonade, Americano, Latte, Caramel Latte and Vanilla Latte, offering the perfect pick-me-up for the warmer days ahead.

From May 9, the iced drinks range will also be available on delivery for the first time - customers will be able to add to their Greggs basket via Just Eat or Uber Eats.

New Greggs summer menu items

  • Pesto Chicken Flatbread (£3.35)
  • The Spicy Mexican Bean Flatbread (£3.35)
  • Mango & Strawberry Cooler (£2.50)
  • Strawberries & Cream Refresher (£2.80)

Also joining the drinks menu for summer are the Ready to Drink Latte and Caramel Latte cans, which can be picked up in the drinks chiller.

The cold brew coffees make a refreshing addition to the cold sandwich and salad deal from £3.75, or with a breakfast roll from just £2.85.

Those looking for a light lunch option can try out the new Pesto Chicken Flatbread and Spicy Mexican Bean Flatbread, both part of Greggs’ Balanced Choice range meaning they’re 400 calories or less and green or amber on the nutritional traffic light system.

The flatbreads are available in the cold sandwich and salad deal when you purchase a regular hot or cold drink, from just £3.75.

For those looking for a tasty snack to be enjoyed at any time of the day, then look no further than the brand-new Cherry Bakewell Muffin, or for something a little lighter -the Apple & Strawberry Fruit Pot.

Customers may recognise the Vegan Mexican Chicken-Free Bake which makes a very welcomed return to the brand’s much loved vegan range since its hiatus last summer.

Made with vegan chicken-free pieces, mixed vegetables, and spicy Mexican style tomato sauce, the bake is packed into a deliciously crispy pastry case topped with a seasoned crumb topping.

Full details on Greggs’ new menu items which launch on May 9 can be found below. All of which can also be ordered via Click + Collect through the Greggs App or website, and for delivery via Just Eat or Uber Eats.

Please note that all of the additions, with the exception of the Strawberries & Cream Refresher and Mango & Strawberry Cooler that are available in selected stores only, are available nationwide.

This comes after residents in some of Britain's poshest towns said their commuter havens are crying out for a Greggs bakery - after the chain announced plans to launch 160 new stores.

Greggs, which had 2,473 outlets by the end of last year, has announced further expansion plans to open up more than 100 shops in 2024.

The exact locations of the new outlets are not yet known by the brand - famous for its sausage rolls - but the chain wants to open a store in every UK town.

One high street without a Greggs is the pretty stockbroker belt town of Sevenoaks just off the M25 in Kent - where the average house costs nearly £800,000.
