WOMAN BELIEVES THAT HER BOYFRIEND IS BETTER SUITED FOR HER BEST FRIEND

  • A Reddit poster worries her boyfriend may be better off with her best friend
  • The original poster (OP) and her best friend met more than one year ago
  • The worried girlfriend tries to hang out with the two of them separately

A woman is nervous that her boyfriend is better off being romantically involved with her best friend.

The 26-year-old woman created a post on Reddit Tuesday morning sharing that she's been questioning her 'amazing' relationship with her boyfriend, 26.

The two of them have been dating for more than two years and the original poster's (OP) friend entered the picture over a year ago.

'I try to hang out with her separately as much as I can but there's a point where it's controlling,' she wrote.

The OP has hung out with her boyfriend and best friend at the same time and she has begun to feel like 'a third wheel' whenever they get together.

The OP couldn't help but compliment her best friend in the Reddit post she created.

'She's an incredible person like.. she's gorgeous, she's funny and witty, charming, smart, confident and independent. Like, the whole package,' she wrote.

'Which is why I love her, how could you not?'

The Reddit user revealed in a comment that her best friend is dating but when she described what she wants in a man, the OP wrote that it was 'literally her boyfriend.'

In the words of the OP's boyfriend, her best friend also 'looks' and 'is' cute.

'Everytime she's around he gravitates towards her. When we all hang out, it is noticeable how much he ignores me,' she wrote.

'He doesn't act this way to literally any of his other friends and he has quite a few girlfriends. Which is why this is so jarring.'

According to the distraught girlfriend, there have been times where her boyfriend will only talk to her best friend.

'I've talked to him about it and he's said multiple times he does not or would not think of her romantically and he just enjoys talking to her but im having nightmares about it at this point,' she wrote.

'They have so much in common and I think they'd balance eachother out so well.'

She has continued to talk to her boyfriend about it and one of his alleged responses was 'I just won't ever be around her again.'

More than 500 Reddit users in less than eight hours have commented on her post and shared their advice on how to deal with the situation.

Several Reddit users who have commented on the post have brought up the OP's own insecurities.

'Try working on improving yourself and overcoming your insecurities instead of questioning and sabotaging your relationships. Either you trust you bf or you don't,' one person wrote.

A 32-year-old woman also advised the OP that there will always be women around a significant other that may be prettier, funnier, and smarter.

'You just have to trust he is with you because he wants YOU,' she wrote.

'You're the one he loves and the one he has history and trust with.'
